Remons: worth it for fast rental sites, not serious hotel operations

Remons is a theme-and-booking-engine bundle, not merely a collection of attractive rental templates. It combines Elementor layouts with WooCommerce and Ovatheme’s BRW plugin, allowing customers to book cars, villas, hotels, tours, taxis, equipment, appointments, and other rentable products. The package includes seven demo sites, more than 60 custom Elementor widgets, and more than 28 BRW-specific widgets for booking displays, search forms, calendars, pricing tables, and product information.

Its genuine strength is speed. A new rental business can import a complete design, edit the pages visually, configure WooCommerce payments, and use BRW for availability, booking forms, deposits, seasonal pricing, extras, insurance, pickup and drop-off fees, and manual bookings. The engine supports several pricing models, including daily, hourly, mixed, period-based, route-based, distance-based, appointment, and tour pricing. That is considerably more capable than a normal WordPress theme with a contact form pretending to be a reservation system.

BRW also has useful operational features. Its documentation describes a backend booking dashboard, calendar views, manual order creation, availability checks, and two-way iCal synchronization with services such as Google Calendar, Airbnb, and Booking.com. The product page’s June 17, 2026 changelog lists BRW 2.0.4, including maximum advance-booking limits, flexible tour duration, round-trip options, and fixes to search, reCAPTCHA, Google Calendar synchronization, and booking forms. The regular license was listed at $69 and included future updates plus six months of support when checked.

The drawbacks are structural. The booking functionality is heavily tied to BRW and Ovatheme’s widgets, templates, settings, and custom product data. That makes Remons convenient at the start but less attractive if you later want to replace the theme, migrate booking data, or combine it with a different reservation system. The large feature surface also means more configuration and more opportunities for conflicts between WooCommerce, Elementor, BRW, translation tools, payment gateways, and caching.

Support discussions around the related BRW ecosystem show the kinds of problems owners may encounter: booking calendars not appearing until availability settings are configured correctly, rental information or totals breaking after updates, payment blocking, date-format problems, and awkward checkout presentation. These are not proof that Remons is unusable, but they show that testing on staging is essential before accepting real reservations. The documentation is helpful, yet the product is still more involved than its polished demos suggest.

Compared with MotoPress Hotel Booking, Remons is broader and more suitable for mixed rental businesses, while MotoPress is the cleaner choice for accommodation-first websites. Compared with VikRentCar, Remons offers a faster visual launch but less separation between the booking system and the theme. WooCommerce Bookings is a more familiar route for businesses already committed to WooCommerce, although its broader extension approach can cost more and require more assembly.

Verdict: buy Remons when its demos match your business and you value an integrated launch over long-term flexibility. For a serious hotel, marketplace, or established rental operation, choose a more independent booking platform and treat Remons as too tightly coupled to be the safe foundation.
