The download links

The download button on each ruling sends you to WorldPressIT, where the product can be obtained. We have a commercial relationship with that destination, and clicks from this site can generate revenue for us.

What that does not buy

It does not buy a verdict. Drawbacks stay in the ruling whether or not a product converts well, no vendor sees a page before it is published, and nobody can pay to be recommended or to have a criticism removed.

The clearest evidence of that is the tally on our homepage: it counts the products we have ruled against alongside the ones we recommend. If those numbers were ever massaged, the site would be worthless to you and therefore worthless to us.

Licensing

The products linked from this site are distributed under the GNU General Public License, the same licence WordPress itself is built on. The GPL permits redistribution. It does not include support from the original developer — if you need that, buy directly from them, and several of our rulings say so explicitly.
